New Long scale EB2D called the Midtown

 Another new bass out soon essentially a long scale EB2D. Colors Black, Sunburst, Cherry, and I think Pelham Blue. Nice looking bass. I think MAP is around 1,500. It has chrome hardware

Last I heard from Gibson they were going to be short scale? Long scale would be great, but make them more LP Sig than EB-2.

I really hope it will be long scale, the NR bird disappointed me a bit so this might be coming my way when it surfaces.

I am hoping it is long scale as well.  I never liked the LP Signature bass- it was a nice idea but fugly dink cutaway and goofy electronics and layout.  A straight EB-2d long scale would be nice and simple.  I would like ES-355 inlays and trim too, but what the heck.  Let's see what happens.  They can screw it up.

Those "goofy electronics" are responsible for one of the best Gibson bass sounds ever! I thought the LP/Triumph hobbits overdone in that department, but the LP Sig chicken head switch is intuitive. Even for me.
