I have a Grabber coming and it has been modified so the OG pickup is gone...Does anyone have a spare lying around or know of one? Maybe another pickup that will fit and sound appropriate? I have contemplated putting a DiMarzio Model One Bucker in its place but would really rather go back to stock....

HELP?? :o :o :o

going to post pics shortly...I started reworking the Grabber...HILARIOUS!!!!! I bought it because it is black....well, guess what, it was NOT originally. The finish was actually quite cheap(like Krylon) and so I decided to strip the finish off and see what was underneath....

Low and behold, under the black was a layer of neon Pink and then the natural wood. Because the black had soaked through and tinted the grain so much, the body is going to be black the right way...The pots were the OG 75 dates and I will use them. I bagged a pickup off ebay and now I need to get a pickguard....I have already tried to contact Chandler(seems like they are the only game in town) and that begs the question, Does ANYONE have a spare Grabber guard????
Pics coming soon....

what did it sound like with those pickups on there?
Louder bass!.

warriorbass05

like a well rounded fart... seriously, it was not what you would think it to be with the pickups set up like that. It was actually very mundane and had no personality..

maybe a mudbucker and a grabber pup could be good.seeing as you have the rout already.

it is going back to regular grabber set up. I have plans for the mudbucker on another bass that is being built.
