It doesn't look in that bad shape if you're willing to take the chance that the neck and truss rod are okay.

Unfortunately it's still an S.D. Curlee. If you want one for your collection, fine. Otherwise, not much collector value.

It's more than I care to mess with - not sure I need a heavy bass with two P pickups.  You're right, if the neck is OK it's not that bad.  I don't recall what bridge those used, but if it's unusual finding a replacement might take a while.

String spacing at the bridge is 2 inches and it needs to be, neck is very narrow and has almost zero taper.  On later basses they used a Badass.
