He has declined one offer. I'd be amazed if he were offered anywhere near that. The color isn't rare; the toggle switch is unusual but not worth anything extra, IMO.

I agree. They do look nice in ebony but that toggle feature does'nt justify that price tag.

The toggle switch was introduced late nineties on every LP Standard. Nuthin' fancy to it.

I guess I saved $1200 by buying one without the toggle switch? ;D  I think he's dreaming when there is a sunburst with toggle for almost $1000 less BIN.

you're all overlooking the fact that a Gibson rep said this is the only one of these he has ever seen.  you may never see another one again!

At least until the next "rare" one comes up on eBay.

Who knows, it might really have been the only one the rep ever saw. Not many retailers ever carried them as stock items.

I believe it is a rare one, as from what I remember the black ones had no toggle and some had either victory or 3 point bridges early on?

Still even a still a simple color like black would not increase it's value that much, in my opinion.

This just seems to be a transitional model between the active models and the later passive which had a toggle. Nothing collectible about that IMHO.
