Actually gave the new oversized LP a good run through today and really liked the neck and the sound of the pups.  Yes, it's heavier than your average bass, but no more so than my LP Triumph, which I play all the time.  Couldn't help myself.  The neck is thinner and narrower than previous LPs. according to my comfort with it.  So, it's home and sounds great through the Fender TV amp.............

Do you agree with my assessment of the neck Uwe or is it in my head????  It sure feels good and comfortable to play.  Not a commonality with my previous LP basses.

Congrats Doc! Shes a beauty! Not many of them left from what I was told was an initial build of 400. Sometime in the middle '90s, a local music store bought one of the early LP basses thinking I'd jump all over it. I tried it out & just didn't like the neck. This bass however, passed the 15 second test, luckily, because I bought it on line without trying one out. I hope you enjoy yours as well!

Same here!  Maybe we could have lunch on Friday.  I have an 11:30 doctor's appt at RGH,  shouldn't take too long.  You be around?  If not, next week might be possible.

So far, so good.  I put DA flats on it and it sounds really nice.  Still got the punchy sound.
