This article popped up on RollingStone.com today. I know most of you have already seen Mike Watt's Pelham Blue NR Bird but I have never seen this photo before so I thought I would post it. I'm excited to see fIREHOSE again, they were a big influence for me when I started playing bass. I saw them a lot growing up.

I think I have a later photo of that Bird, ok yeah here it is,

Johnbob

Yeah, I have that one too. That's the one that I usually see around.

Nice pic!

It reminded me that I had seen these shots on a facebook group's page, archiving concert photos and flyers from an old Tucson, AZ venue that I used to play...

Great. I only wish the camera mic hadn't been QUITE so close to the guitar amp ;)

The camera is picking up a lot of the guitar hell he was right in front of his amp, still a fair amount of bass to be heard :) I learned long ago that if I want to be in the video I gotta go stand by the guitar player.

Aint it the truth! We play "My Generation" for our encore, when it comes to the bass solo I check out the audience, invariably they're looking at the lead guitarist!  ???

That just makes it authentic ... it's just like all the old TV clips of the Who doing it :)
