My big project finally

OK, here is what I started with. Got both of these off of ebay several years back. The EB-0 came first.  It was a fascinating wreck, in that it had some severe control area damage, including a chunk that was lost, partially repaired at different times, and it also had a funky smell, like it had been in a flood or musty damp basement.  It was I think around $200 or less, so I snagged it. I was going to paint it glow-in-the-dark with glow in the dark knobs and pickguard, but I gave up on that, and figured I would do an EB-3.  I got the EB-3 off of ebay quite a while later, several months to a year, in hopes of using the body. The neck had the goofiest ever headstock repair. It had no angle at all.  It was a not thought out amateur repair.  So, I snagged that - around $200 again - and both sat around.  Family issues and health stuff, and death, stopped most of my tinkering for a few years.  But eventually I did this, and here are the pics.

Here are pics of the EB-3 headstock craziness.

A good shot of the EB-0 body, with neck removed after steam attempt.  Just chopped it out.

That came out great! What kind of bridge is that?

I love the Duncan pup.  It works really well with the mudbucker (which is bastardized too, as I replaced the north coil with a DiMarzio Model G coil) and it sounds really nice in parallel mode.  My only beef is it has that "S" design in the top, which is poop.

The bridge is a Kahler 7450 fixed 5 string bridge, which I drilled out to fit the Evertilt mounts.  It is my favorite.  I had planned on using the Hipshot, but I had one of these in the parts pile, so I used it. It has a bigger foot print, and takes a bit more work, but it is a really nice design, and you can mute it, and it doesn't intrude on your hand as the profile is really low.

Wow great job!  Really pretty grain on that one, and the stain/color came out nice.

That's great results for such a reclamation project.  Nicely done.
