Maybe I should post here more often to counter all of this out.
Despite the fact that I am just shy of 23, I have found that compared to some just a few years younger, I have experienced that old feeling. Probably has to do with how fast technology changes combined with how they have stuff now that we were not even thinking of when I was their age. I still remember being the only one in middle school with a cell phone but now it seems like everyone in middle school is texting each other all day long.
I hear you, Darrol. It's amazing to watch how many people text all day long, and not just kids in school.
Most of the time I have no problem relating to anyone younger. But there are a couple of "younger generation" things I'll never understand.
One is people who like restaurants with fake, deliberately loud background noise. What the hell is up with that? I remember the first time I went with some friends to a BW3 (now Buffalo Wild Wings). So loud you couldn't hear yourself think, and people were waiting in line to get in. No thanks. Why would I want to eat in an unpleasant atmosphere just so everybody can pretend the artificial noise means everyone else is having fun?
The other is morons who make public marriage proposals just so they can be seen on the news. You see this more and more on TV the last few years. What is
wrong with people who want to make a public spectacle of what ought to be private? I think electro-shock therapy is in order.
