I think it says Framus on the headstock, but I'm not 100% sure, most likely 10% sure. :D Cool thing for sure.

edit: now that I have found that one, I'm 100% sure. Its a 1960's Framus with "humbug finish." (Formerly owned by Bill Wyman.)

Yep, thanks mr. Archangel, but I knew that is a Star Bass. But thanks. The reason I post it in the guitar section is indeed because it's about Keef aka The Human Riff. But thanks for your efforts!

It's an f-holed Gibson, but it looks more LP sized than the ES350/330/335 and so.

Sorta looks like a late 50s-to-early-60s Guild M-65 aka Freshman.  Might have mods for a bridge pickup and extra v/t controls.

I honestly prefer the new double-header banana avatar over Keith, though  ;D

It's alright. Keith will say he played it on the album whether he did or not, so you can just chalk it up to that.

Keith supposedly has quite a few Guilds, mostly M-75s (Aristocrat/Bluesbird). I've seen a couple of pics of M-65s with 2 pickups, whether they were custom, modded or prototypes isn't clear. But they do exist.

Thanks! I was looking at all kinds of Gibsons, but of course it's a Guild!

Dudepit-member and fellow countryman Hans Moust knows it all:

Copied from another forum:

"does ANYONE know which guild keith richards played when they did 'satisfaction' on the ed sullivan show? it looks like an m-75 aristicrat, but it has F-HOLES, and it also seems to have an additional smalll knob where the pickup selector switch is located. i have never ever seen another one like that!!"

"Hi revelroy,

The reason you've never seen another one is because the guitar in question was modified. It's an M-65 that was outfitted with 2 DeArmond pickups, an extra set of tone & volume knobs and a Master Volume. It doesn't look like this modification was done at the factory since the extra vol. & tone knobs are in the wrong location and also the Master volume knob was mounted at a very odd place. There are other small details that are very un-like Guild, so the work must have been done after the guitar left the factory.

Here's a link to a page from my website. Just click on the second one of the smaller thumbnails to see the guitar:
