Amongst my many pleasures of being in The Nasty Habits are our many trips out to Washington's Olympic Peninsula, most of the time for shows and sometimes pleasure - sometimes both. Since I had business to the south to start my trip out this time I chose to drive on the famous Hwy101, which goes the length of the U.S. west coast, tho Washington state's portion is relativly unknown. The trip starts at the southern end of the Hood Canal (named for the Englander Lord Samuel Hood, the Hood as in the ill fated H.M.S. Hood) which also shelters the U.S.Navy's Bangor Submarine base.
Hwy.101 is curvey and relativly low speed but there's saying something like "It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow" and such was case, the Subaru won't win any contests but it sure was fun to drive! Washington's state motto is the "Evergreen State" in reference to the many species of Fir, Cedar, Spruce and Pines but there are many decidious trees here too - But it's not like upstate New York!

The cool art deco highway bridge spans the Hamma-Hamma river, a narrow two lane anachronism from the 1930's.

The road evetually turns inland and passes thru some lower parts of the Olympics, here I'm behind a logging truck.

Pt. Angeles has it's own charms, one that I'll never tire of is Hurricane Ridge, here I'm hiking with my off duty U.S. Ranger friend on our way to Hurricane Hill -  looking south into one the few truely unspoiled parts of the U.S. As you can see this really is the Evergreen state and the ancient forest stretches on to the horizon - Not a bad place to work at.

The band played one night at 7 Cedars Casino in Sequim, Wa. A great place with two pro sound guys, a big stage and lots of lights, we had about 2000 folks in the crowd.
Her we're covering "Hit me with your best shot", props to our guitarist Rachael for the solo, and I love when the crowd sings along

And to save the best for last, the many trips out here have made me many new friendships, the woman on the right is my M-16 toting Ranger friend and stunning Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, she's shall we say "very special" too me  ;)

Resident T Bird playing Drag Queen www.thenastyhabits.com  "Impülsivê", the new lush fragrance as worn by the unbelievable Fräulein Rômmélle! Traces of black patent leather, Panzer grease, mahogany and model train oil mingle and combust to one sheer sensation ...

Beautiful fall there, Mark.  Love the photos!

Good luck, in any way you care to have some... ;)

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I thought I'd commented on this but I guess I didn't. Been a little scattered lately! :)

Mark, these are beautiful shots and the videos look like another one of those deals when a good time was had by all. And the cheerleader just makes it all that much better! Keep rockin', my friend.
