New Badbird samples from Hipshot

    This has taken a while but samples from Hipshot should be here on Monday. I am anxious to install one and check it out.

 Here is one unplated sample, looks good :) there have been some slight changes from the original. The bridge now hugs the studs more tightly and the ends of the bridge have a radius. Original '60s studs will no longer work but I will be supplying studs with the bridge.

Very Nice, Scott!  The extra meat under the stud can't be bad and I like the radiused edges.

Actually....I was wondering if all that meat would cause any problem in dropping the action down low enough on some old TBirds?

I think the critical dimension for that is the thickness of the 'tray' holding the saddles.

What is the story behind all this?

 On the bottom the thickness of the bridge is a bit thicker than a original but the saddles are shorter than originals so getting action nice and low is not a problem. The big change that I was refering to is the material in contact with the sides of the studs, not the bottom or the bridge.
