It's a long shot but if anyone happens to see this Jerry Jones bass in a pawn shop, independent guitar store, Guitar Center, Sam Ash or posted on Craigslist or eBay, please contact me as soon as possible. Whoever is selling it does not own it...
Thanks a million!

Oh no! Is that the one you bought last year?

Man Denis, that really sucks. It is unique enough to stand out in a crowd. Hope it comes home to you soon.

It was at a studio being used on a record. Someone broke in Sunday or Monday and stole it, along with a '62 Fender, a '45 Gibson, a Gretsch banjo and an '81 (I think) G&L bass.

It really sucks and hope that because there are no Jerry Jones basses (other than a buddy's currently at my house) around here that it will show up soon.

that really stinks. good luck with it. the robbery sounds odd. who would
break into a recording studio that might have people there any time of day or night. i think someone close may knows something about it.

That does suck.  Is the studio insured?

Sounds likely. Maybe someone close to one of the bands.

I loved that bass and it was rapidly on it's way to becoming my favorite. It was the one I was practicing with the most while learning the surf stuff and was the only bass I had on which I could play "Pipeline" and not sound like a gorilla beating a clothesline.

Not sure what's happening but I sent all the info I had on it, pics, serial number, etc. I'm glad I saved all that stuff from the original eBay auction I won to get it.

Considering who's studio it is, I would hope it was insured. He lost some valuable stuff too.

Awesome, thanks! My buddy is hitting the pawn shops and I sent pics to Guitar Center and Music Go Round. I also posted something on Craigslist and am checking it and eBay often. I really want it back.

I see no reason to drag my playing into this.

I swear I've never heard you play!

No news at all about the Longhorn and really miss it. Makes me think about all the JJ basses I've seen and nearly all have been solid colors. It makes me think mine was pretty unusual even for a JJ, given the color scheme and all. Damn it!
