Uwe, you could say that you're going for a rare variant with hideous tuners.  ;)

(Devil on the right shoulder) ... a genuine variant not in Ze Kollektion...
(Angel on the left shoulder) ... You don't need another LP...
(Devil) ... no fin issues here...
(Angel) ... barely worth a second thought...

For that price & rarity who cares, you still do not have one. Who knows what else is different once you get it?

It's got Barts. IIRC Uwe doesn't like them. That's a good reason to pass on it.

I don't remember that stopping him buying something unusual...

Uwe "I don't buy for fins or Barts" Hornung...? ;D

Try as I squint my eyes, I can't detect anything that would make acquisition mandatory. And I'm no particular Barts fan though if truth be told they sound good on three of my basses equipped with them: My fretless LP de Luxe, my fretless LP DC de Luxe and the Primavera one-off with the mandolin frets. The harshness on a regular fretted bass magically transforms into a "true-to-the-acoustic-tone"-sound on the fretless LPs; with the Primavera I suppose it is the different wood.
