Found this while looking for the video showing Jermaine Jackson with his Gibson on TV (for the EB-series video thread in the Gibson forum). Wilton Felder on his Fender J.

I usually enjoy listening to isolated bass--if the bassist is good--even when I don't like the song.

I love listening to these. That's a really great example, too. I'm always fascinated by how different tracks sound when they're isolated.

The bass line pretty much is the song even though I never noticed that through the big arrangement.
