This was one of his (own) biggies...



iirc Duane Allman played at his funeral in 1971 (he was stabbed in an altracation with some junkies near his home - not buying, trying to move on) and recorded with him on one LP (which I would still like to get hold of - I have some tracks but not the whole thing) - this one features Duane on slide (imho a better version is Duane playing the same song with Aretha singing) ...



I believe he played the solo on this too...



as a side note, the guitarist, Cornell Dupree, no slouch on the 6 string, passed last month... RIP Curtis and Cornell

How cool is that backline? Great music no doubt about it. Love the sound of those flats on the Jazz bass too.
