Woof.  $6999!

Fine for those with the money, but to me that's new (used) car money!

Collector bass prices are a matter of wonder and mystery to me.

Last time I saw a 59 EB-2 was in Austin about five years ago, priced at $2200 and the finish was in better shape than this one.

It must be the economic boom times we're having.

Dave's right, the finish on the one for sale is not great.

The last time I bought one of those I paid $225.  These were never considered collectors basses until the last 10 years or so.  In fact I think the majority of them that traded hands before the mid 90s were being bought to get brown cases for 50s ES-335s.
