You're saying this thing is natural, not a freak?  Man, I think I'll stick to puny little collies and such!  I'd hate to see the hairball this thing could hack up!

Hairball?!! Can you imagine trying to keep that thing fed? much less what it would do to you if there wasn't enough food around?  Much less the "sandbox" it needs.....

I had a Ragdoll cat a few years ago that weighed 28 pounds. Nicest cat in the world but changing his litter was a total PITA. He regularly left deposits that rivaled any adult human. Next time we have a Ragdoll I'm thinking we'll have a kitty door and I'll just tell him to poop outside!

:D  You think you can tell a cat to do something?   :D  Good luck!

Luckily, I've found that most of the cats I've owned over the years preferred to go outside to do their business. When I got married and moved to NYC, my wife had a cat that was indoor only (pretty much a necessity in that area if you want your cat to actually live). When we moved back to Burbank, we lived in the hills so we kept the cats inside to keep the coyotes at bay. Once we came to Utah, we relented and the one cat we still have has lived happily outside from early spring to early winter for two years. It's amazing though... During the warm months he never comes inside for more than a minute or two, but once he comes in for the winter he turns back into a total homebody, sleeping on ours or our son's bed and flopping down for belly rubs any time I sit down for more than 30 seconds. I gotta say, I love our cat!

george are you saying that Utah is one big litter box?

In Chicago that's not an option-

Being a Mississippi boy the first thing I thought when I saw that pic was I would have to have that sucker mounted when it died!

You got that right! Except I can honestly say I HATE CATS!

Dave W

I don't hate 'em, but I've never been a cat person. I've always had and loved dogs. And yet cats always seem to like me. Maybe they're just sizing me up for some evil cat plot. My dog definitely thinks cats are the devil's spawn.
