QuoteI like the bridge further from the butt end.

I believe that is called the "taint."
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

It takes a very deep-rooted opinion to survive unexpressed

And here I thought I was the only one that knew what a "taint" was  ;)
Resident T Bird playing Drag Queen www.thenastyhabits.com  "Impülsivê", the new lush fragrance as worn by the unbelievable Fräulein Rômmélle! Traces of black patent leather, Panzer grease, mahogany and model train oil mingle and combust to one sheer sensation ...

Aha, so that Gloria Jones / Soft Cell hit could've been named Perineal Love... ;D

I'll never hear that song quite the same way again then:

"I gave you all a boy could give you." They really tore into it then.

We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

I may really consider getting one somewhere in the future. Although my current DC totally covers all my needs in this field. The main question now is their actual weight...

Psycho Bass Guy

The Waterstone TP bass has that same size and shaped (or even possibly larger) body and it's a bear to maneuver on tight stages, actaully worse to deal with than the headstock! I guess I'm in the minority who liked the smaller bodies with three points and I hate Warwick tailpieces regardless of whatever bass they're inflicted upon, though most Warwicks do deserve that curse.

It's telling Gibson doesn't have the resources or desire to invest the relatively small sum in R&D needed to produce their own proprietary bridge/tailpiece.

That 'new' one looks like it's from Wilkerson, I wouldn't be surprised.
