I've got one in a box that I'm gonna polish up right now for eBay!  Yahoo!
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

Chris P.

I need one! But I'm not going to pay you 500 dollars;)

Well, if some sucker is determined, I am not surprised.  I don't discount seller shill bids, but who knows?  Later Kalamazoo basses have new organ-donor appeal.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

I suspect EB 2 is behind it. Coerced by Herr Westheimer. It's all a revisionist ploy to undo the bridge development of the last three decades.

But I am not fooled.

We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

I can see paying a lot for one, especially if you had a particularly clean old beast that had lost its Evertilt.  My definition of a lot being based on my giving one away a couple of years back.  But at a certain price point, it makes not too much sense.  They typically have been trading hands at less than two bones, so I would imagine that will shake out as the new dollar level for a while.  Hopefully they will become like most things that inch up in the price category, where the new demand is met by increased supply.

In the case of a Kalamazoo, you could probably buy the whole bass for less than that particular bridge.  Can't do that with a 50s Fender.

Looks like it was down to two bidders battling for it. Sometimes one is lucky. Oh, and I like the name Evertilt.
