Hello all... I just joined here today. Nice place! Good work, Uwe and Dave.

Some of you will recognize my name from the FDP, Dude Pit, and the Rickresource forum. For those who don't... My name is Ilan Lukatch, I'm 46 years old, a TV news journalist in Israel. I love vintage Fenders and Rics, and have owned quite a few over the years. The general rule is that if I don't play it, I sell it, no case queens here.

Here's a pic of my current herd:

Welcome and nice Ric's!

Quite a collection.

Shalom, Ilan! Schön, dass Du hier bist.

We don't have a Ric forum here yet and I kind of miss that. So if there is enough interest, Herr Westheimer might be gracious.

Uwe

PS: Don't tell anybody, but I do like that chocolate J with the block inlays!
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

Hello, Ilan.  That's quite impressive.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

PS: don't tell anybody, but I feel GAS for a Gibson bass... A Fireburst SG Supreme bass haunts my dreams.  ;)

Hey Ilan, nice to see you! Good to have another Ric enthusiast around - I know you mainly from the RickResource Forum - but it's nice to see you have other cool instruments as well! (And watch out for that Gibson bug...)

As you can see I've already been bitten by that bug with my 6-string guitars... ;D I did have a nice '68 EB2C but it didn't work for what I was playing so I sold it. It was, however, the best looking bass I have ever owned.

Love those Ricks....kinda makes homesick for my old '73 4001  :-\
Very Nice.
Resident T Bird playing Drag Queen www.thenastyhabits.com  "Impülsivê", the new lush fragrance as worn by the unbelievable Fräulein Rômmélle! Traces of black patent leather, Panzer grease, mahogany and model train oil mingle and combust to one sheer sensation ...

The black, dot neck, Ric one reminds me of Gearheds , except he put a mirror pickguard on his.

The problem with Gibsons are, everyone is so different from another Gibson or any other bass out there, you keep buying them, because that bass only sounds like it.

You turn around and you end up own 10 Gibsons!

Ask Daniel.

Welcome, Ilan.  Good to see you around again.  I love that Country Gent!

Hi Ilan,

You forgot to mention TBL.  ;)  Glad you found us. When I sent out emails announcing our launch, yours was returned as undeliverable, but the address I had for you was probably from some years-old TBL correspondence.

I not only remember your EB-2C, I have a pic of you playing it in my Gibson pics collection.

If there's enough interest in a separate Rick board, we can always add one. So far, there hasn't been much if anything posted.

The Bottom Line mailing list... forgot about that... it's been a while! With the ascii art logo... That was the first time I was in an online bass community.

Yes, my email address has changed since then. The one in my profile here is the correct one.

Hi there! Welcome!

Love the Gretsch! take your time but tell us some more about that once in the 'other bass brands' forum. + pics.

Like Uwe, I love the chocolate too! There's a great chocolate 70s J in a local shop here. Too expensive though:( Always have to play that, though I prefer Ps over Js.
