Those were the purple years of Midnight Blue... Recent ones are less purple (more like metallic Azureglo).

Both my '86 4003 and my 92 2030 are not purple (and more metallic). My '89 is like Jayme's '89.

They both look purple when there is indirect light. If I put a spotlight on them, they look real BLUE..
