Just got a 72 Burgandy turned eggplant glo today.I believe it was another fellow outposters bass at one time. Its a beautiful bass.A fantastic and perfect Dale Fortune refret! The neck is absolutly outstanding!Pencil thin and dead perfect straight. The electronics were all boogered up.The bridge pickup was the only one working when i plugged it in.I had to completly rewire the whole bass.Working perfectly now.Pics forthcoming

Thanks! Yeah, It plays like butter man ;D Gotta love it.Dale also built the bridge pickup for this bass as well.Correct aluminum baseplate and screw pole pieces.4003 cutaway pickup surround for nice low action. The color is very cool!!!

8)  Scha Wheat!  The factory color code for this was known as "Burgundglo"
At the factory we ended and called every color:  glo, meaning gloss. Jetglo, Fireglo, Mapleglo, Azureglo etc.  The Azureglo color was taken from a 1968 VW color chart.

i'd like to know just how many were done with this batch of Burgandy paint.Ive seen a couple others that turned eggplant like this.I think there is also a 21 fretter that was shot with this batch of paint during the same time.Dale might know ;)

Burg varies from relatively light see-thru red to some very dark purplish red. I guess it all depends on who worked at the paint booth on which day.

Ive only seen Burgandy glo this color in the very early 70's though.Ive never seen burgandy this color after 72-73
