Well, I can't get a good measurement from the routes because I have re-routed them. The pickups measure approx. 3 7/8" by 1 1/2". Can't get super accurate with my eyes and tape measure, but that's pretty close. Anything else you need?

That's great, thanks.  I was considering an Epi body for a Fenderbird and was wondering how big the routs were.

Longer than the routes on a Gibson, but not as wide. I have a set of pickups from my GothBird that I won't be using if you have the need.

My Epi 'F Bird, I used N.O.S. '76 Gibson covers and SD '51 P bass single pups, very little shaving of the sides of the pup routs was needed. The almost dropped in  ;D

It's my only project bass, the neck is a Mighty Mite J, it does sound quite different from my Gibsons and I like it for that. I did end up shiming it a bit to give it a little relief - Mike Lull set it up for me. I'm thinking about a better neck, USAGC or Allparts are a bit more faithful to a Jazz in neck profile and have better looking block inlays.

The routes on my Korean Epi are 40mm x 100mm, (basically +1/16" the dimensions Nocturnal gave you).  They aren't really radiused more like 45 degrees on the corners if that matters.

I have an Allparts rosewood board Jazz dot neck that I ordered by mistake if anyone needs a neck.  Unfinished. I'll sell it for my cost plus shipping.  I'll post in classifieds.

Mark, the Allparts block necks are very, very nice.  They are made in Japan are very well made and the finish on the ones that I've seen is flawless.  Carlos is a dealer and I'm sure he'd make you a sweet deal.

I'm using a Mighty-Mite J fretless neck on my Squier body with '08 US Fender pups, which is just... prefect...

Thanks guys!  The body didn't work out, but I'm still thinking about doing one anyway.

There are usually several on Ebay at any given time. You'll have another shot.
