Anyone ever heard of the Italian name Frudua or Tuscany or Exclusive Guitars? (all from the same Mr. Frudua)

They came up with a new kind of pickup, which I think is interesting.

Nice looking bass but probably a neck-diver. Look at the strap buttons in relation to the 12th fret red line.

Esthitically speaking, not what I'd call a looker...

This is trying to be all-things-to-all-men (or women) and how many of us need all that variety in one beast? I could understand someone just wanting one bass rather than taking a small heard with them but what was it Dave said a while back... "If you can't do it with a P..." The two outer pups are never going to replicate a Jazz spacing...

The most I can envisage needing for any gig at present is a fretted and a fretless...

This one is very much down to the eye of the beholder...

It would still be interesting to get a gig review from one of the 'posters... proof of the pudding...

It's an interesting idea and it's well thought out. And it may get close to both. But why? I'd rather have two separate basses.

I do like the looks, very Tele-like. Don't see how it won't neck dive, no matter what he says.

Aren't Ibanez ATK's triple coil?

Basvarken

Yes, but different. AFAIK the middle coil of the ATK is only the dummy coil for hum cancelling.

ATK's are triple coil, but I believe one's a dummy coil just for hum canceling purposes.

Kenny: Have you seen that new Ibanez? It has six strings. Four are fretted EADG and then again the D and G but fretless.

Chris P.

Rob and I are really the samen person. Hav you ever seen us together? No!

SR2010ASC - just looked the beastie up...

WTF :o

I can play rock or blues on a fretless or a fretted - I can see no advantage or requirement for such a hybrid; same story - to each their own...

For me, If I want something that requires a fretless sound, I'll play a fretless, and be precise and fixed in my playing at the other points...

As I tell my wife, "Basses are like golf clubs, different basses for different situations".  This triple coil idea and the Ibanez are taking away my argument  :-[

gibson could have released this with great hoopla and a price tag to match.

And Dick Butkus as a demonstrator.
