Slowly but surely... still absorbing ideas, Bill... I want to get this one right as the last fin was 25 years worth of fun...

Gotta ask... should I leave her bare wood or "sand and seal" now, even pre the body repairs, as I've still got to source my timber...? post a response on mine and I'll keep this one clear for your work... this will be added to my last reply to your post there...

Finally got around to wet sanding and buffing this thing after being out of town a bunch.  I'll install hardware over the next few days and post some shots.  She's not perfect, but I wasn't too concerned since the body is 28 years old, I want the rest of it to be a bit rough and aged as well.  Almost playable...................

You didn't want it perfect, right? It looks a bit aged under the finish, that's fine.

Yep, I could have bleached the wood and sanded out more of the flaws, but I like to leave some of the natural relicing on an older bass.  It came by these flaws naturally and I like to leave them.  There are several dents and dings too in the body and binding.  Lots of character!

Thanks Daniel.  I used Stew-Mac nitro cherry tint for the color.  Turned out great!
