If that is what they want to introduce, then fine with me, there might be a market for it, but it's not really aimed at boring old farts like us. We can still buy the expensive stuff made in the USA and without an USB stick.

Damn! I thought they were going to market with a Historic Reissue of the 1981 "V Bass"

A "genuine Gibson USB wire?"

Perhaps made by Monster Cable to Gibson's exacting specs?  And similar to the ones you can buy on Ebay for $.99?

If any of this is true, my guess is that it would have a proprietary connector at the guitar end so you would have to buy it from Gibson.

This whole thing is plausible, but if a Chinese guitar is going to carry the Gibson brand, IMHO that will be a much bigger change than the "revolutionary" new guitar that sounds like it will do the same thing as Line 6's GuitarPort Online can do with any guitar.

I'm still hoping for a Dusk Tiger Bass. Or Zoot Suit SG Bass.

Well for perspective, there is nothing more mind-numbing than the Martin acoustics with cowboy scenes painted on them.  Not only is the artwork fairly clumsy looking, but the fact that Martin doesn't get the self humiliating joke that they are marketing and charging decent cash for a type of guitar that is the antithesis of what they are known for, is just pathetic.  I suspect that the latest  guy who is CF Martin and Henry J get together every so often and the conversation goes like this:

"You're the bigger douche bag!"

"Oh, no!  You are a much bigger douche bag!"
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

I think Henry J should be the douche nozzle  ;)

Okay burn it down guys.  ;)

I kinda like the shape of it and the idea behind it.
No idea if it works. Considering the success of the Line 6 Variax guitars there must be a market for it. Although the price of this Gibson is way too high of course

Is it just me or does that bluey have really poor finishing - the grain wasn't filled prior to fin...?

Must be a proto type with those clumsy labels all over it.

I dig the red one though!
