not sure if this will open as it is in facebook and i am clueless.  Anyway 2 childhood  buds that moved to tampa FL came up a few weeks ago and we decided to get together and play in a studio for the first time in about 6+ years. singer hadan iphone.   Mistakes a plenty       and shitty iphone recording but it was on my side so JAEbird #2 is nice in the mix.  63 thunderbuckers which i prefer contrary to most of you.  GK 800 with 2 15's and 2 10's.    Its too bad the zep stuff and hendrix didn't record as that actually came out pretty good as those tunes are burned into our brains.   
Staten Island/brooklyn buds....  so jersey shore. I find it hard to believe i grew up down there.

I do like having one of each.  I  pick which set of thunderbuckers based on the gig/band and  my mood and amp choice that day.  Always been that way with me  -  p or j  or PJ choices so now i get to pick my second bass which is usually a HB.  

Kind of like a woman and her shoes....  

actually thinking about a fender thunderbucker and a fiver.....   waiting to hear the X pups although i doubt i will like the extra grind unless it is mid heavy for some of my tube amps.  Thanks to you guys, especially Scott and that RIG,   i have been collecting some more tube stuff.  ( 2 b15S,  b15N,  fixed a 1971 blue univox and most recently 2 musicman hd 130s.  So recent they are both in transit..  One of feeebay ,  other GC used being shipped to local store with original RH212 cab.   I do remember liking them in the late 70's though i was a ampeg (SVT and V-4B) only guy back then.  Always felt they were the next generation of the bassman amps that could cut it.   hopefully my memory was right or i just bought 2 guitar amps....Clapton used them back then.

So were are my blue shoes?

Carlo, I was in the studio last night with my original rock band and my JAEBird, so soon I'll be able to post some great examples of how the Thunderbuckers sound.  The bits I listened to last night straight off the desk sounded great!

By non popular demand, JAEbird Fiver with raised center section.  I used the pin router mostly with this screwed into the back for a guide.

"Jade", a color from my furniture days.  A mix of 2 parts blue, 1 part yellow Mohawk Ultra Penetrating Stain.  Lots of extra holes where the tailpiece/bridge goes, luckily this is the proto.
