White with a B&B neck? Looks like someone beat me to that idea. If you post a picture of that thing with a white pickguard, I'm gonna crap myself.

After doing 25 JAEbird bodies I've almost got it right so I found someone who can make them better.  He's in a secure underground location somewhere in the midwest.  This is an example of his work, one piece Honduras Mahogany...and when I say 'Honduras' I mean it.  This body came from a 30 year old 14 foot long, 22 inch wide, 2 inch thick board.  It weighs 5.1 lbs and will make a 9lb perfectly balanced JAEbird.

I'll also be doing 1 piece flame maple bodies and some exotic woods to customer spec including caps...plus an NR and a Jazz routed for Thunderbuckers.  Stain and 'burst finishes too.  Oh yeah, and a Fiver...for the youngsters.  I've been getting quite a few requests.

THAT is gorgeous! And knowing what's underneath the paint makes it that much cooler.

Thanks, Tom.  I've learned a lot in the last year, not the least being how to shoot bass porn :).  Having the bodies CNC'd has made it a lot easier.  I grain filled this one using drywall mud.  It works great, costs almost nothing, cleans up with water and is impervious to lacquer solvent.  I'm ambivalent about having painted such a beautiful piece of wood but feel pretty good about the quality of the paint job.

That is almost criminal covering up such a beautiful piece of timber, but what an end result... 8)+

If it's criminal to paint mahogany, then Gibson's execs might be trouble... oh wait! Too late!  ;D
