OMG that is a beautiful bass!
Wonder if it sounds as good as it looks...

That`s a sweet looking Bass!

i have played one at a pawn shop and all i recall was the string spacing being way too tight for me. i think many 60's basses that may look good are really not worth your time/ money as players.

Aussie Mark needs this for his Stones tribute band.

Beautiful bass indeed but it doesn't look much like Wyman's red 2 PUP version with the big handle selector switch. I don't understand why Framus aren't offering a decent Bill Wyman model Star Bass RI. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would order one of those in a heartbeat .........  >:(

Right. Framus gave the Star name to several different basses. This is not the Wyman type.

Last one I saw like this was 4 or 5 years ago and was priced at under $500. It looked good and it did sound good, just didn't have the value that a Wyman type would have.

Realy cool! It has a nice and classy body shape, and what a nice tailpiece!

Really like the F-hole design, also. I think it's real purty.

I might follow this one.

Warwick owns Framus now and Warwick-owner Hans-Peter Wilfer is the son of former Framus owner Fred Wilfer. They produce a doublecut Star Bass, which is more like an EB2. I played that bass and it's gorgeous. That one and the Gretsch White Falcon Bass both sound so good!

i actually sold a 2 picked starbass 335 look a lie several months ago on feebay.  very little interest for whatever reason.  it was in mint shape.  Neck is very thin like the old vox's also froim the same mid 60's.  Sounded pretty good.  very hofner like.  neck awas an interesting laminate of about 3/16 inch peices set up like a 7 layer cake.

When I was 13 or 14 and just getting started playing bass , I wanted a Framus real bad exactly for this reason. I fit my hands very well. I had a couple of buddies who had Framus basses at that age and they were the coolest thing happening. Now when I pick one up everything about it just feels akward and too small :o

This, hence the reason I'm not playing any 60's basses (and especially not a Framus) in the Stones tribute band.
