Finally! its a really nice day here in Seattle, it'll probably make 65 degrees....wuhoo!
How can I for sure tell its Spring?  For me it has to do with the Sun's position in the the sky relative to my house and the street I live on - which is coincidentally the same axis as Seattle Tacoma International  Airport. I can always tell its Spring when I'm outside and the shadow of a large commercial airliner i.e. Boeing 757 in the landing pattern passes between the Sun and me! They're typically down to about 500 feet in altitude with gear down on approach, you can see the shadow coming up the street at you! Kinda freaks you out at first. If all is quiet after about 30 seconds you can hear hear the wind vortices the plane has made.........a bizarre whoosing sound that comes out of nowhere!
Anybody else? What marks Spring's arrival where you live?

Usually, it's a Robin.  Frozen to death in the last snow of the year.  Didn't see one yet, but they're talking snow here for next week.  That should do it.

This morning I woke up sneezing. And I coudn't stop for two hours straight.
Didn't even manage to make myself a sandwich for breakfast.
Think I used about three boxes of cleenex to wipe the snot out of my face.

That's when I know spring has begun.

You can smell the citrus trees blooming here, then people's allergies kick in. Thats usually the sign of spring here.

Damn, I say it is nice here and then I go outside to find that it is 85 degrees when yesterday it was in the 70s. It definently is clear out though and it should be nice down by the beach.

Spring is definitely here in south Texas. You can tell by the crabgrass and fire ants.

In Holland we call this day 'rokjesdag' or 'bloesjesdag'. That means something like 'mini skirt day' and the second 'blouse day' . The real first warm/sunny day on which you se nice, young and pretty girls with skirts or summer blouses outside. Magical.

Also the special smell of ozone in the early morning, fresh mown grass, ...

And of course the first outside music festival's very important!
