Good deal. Somebody ought to jump on this.

Hornisse

The only down side is the seller has no seller feedback.  Hopefully will be packed well.  Nice slab of Mahogany on these basses and they have the same pickups as on the Thunderbird Basses.

Denis

That's a beauty! Much better looking than that hideous pink one for sale a while back.

Denis, you just flunked Gibson 80ies class. The pink one was a Q-80 which has about as much in common with a IV as a Fender P has with a Non Rev T-Bird. Tsk, tsk, tsk ... where is Fräulein Rommel to administer punishment?

Gads, you are right! I'm so ashamed. In my defense (if I have any) is that IVs don't show up very often and don't get much discussion here. So...are they heavy? Unbalanced? Weak? Do tell, Uwe!

From what I remember about my V they were lightweight and sounded great.  On B.B. King Live at Montreux from 1993 the bass player uses a IV exclusively.  There is one track where he does a solo but I cannot recall which one it is.  Some nice sounds on this clip though.

I'll take a pass on that!

I'm surprised no one bought that bass, or did someone? Seemed like a deal.

Someone bought it.  Wonder if it was Scott?

I owned a red one for awhile a couple years ago and sold it to someone on this board.  It was a fine bass, super light, and sounded decent.  I just had no use for it..
