Reset the combination ?

I recall ( or at least I think I recall
) that the combination locks on Gibbie cases can be reset, but for the life of me, it can't figure out how it's done. Anyone here got a clue how it works ?

Easy, push the knob of the lock into opening position AND HOLD IT THERE WHILE SETTING A NEW COMBINATION. Release it then - voilà!, it now works with a new number combination.

Nope, don't work on my SG case. Tried that trick and retried it upon your message .......... Also tried both charming it in submission ( speaking my best american with a german accent
) and brute force .... the wheelies won't budge .....

Do you want a new combination because you forgot the old one? If you don't know the old one the reset won't work.

I know combination. Lady I got it from wrote it on a piece of paper which I try to keep in a safe place so that'll work alright until I forget where I've put it ..........

Easy if you look closely at the lock dials there is a hole in each one, line the holes it should open the lock. When the case was new there was a single piece of plastic rod that went in those holes to held the lock in a neutral position.

Status Quo's Parfitt and Rossi drilled holes through the bodies of their Tele's and chained em up... at least it should stay put that way...
Either that, or get some improved security...

A small step for mankind, but obviously a substantial one for our new

Fortunately for future generations, this observation is unlikely to be recorded and cited as widely as Sir Isaac Newton and the apple.

Which confirms the old adage on toilet doors:
Some come here to sit and think, others come to shit and stink.
