I found this for a great price.  I'm looking for an SB-40 if anyone knows of one for sale.  This one has an ash body with a flame maple top with binding.

i had a black one years ago but could not remember the model. a perfect neck for me. thanks for the post.

I thought exactly the same. It's a real nice burst and the binding makes it kinda special, but the PG looks rather plain and I just can't stand those off-white DiMarzio PUP-covers ....... sorry  :mrgreen:

Very nice, but I agree about the pg... needs something to set the fin off better...

I agree about the pickups and guard.  That was the way they came stock though.  They did make an ash version with rosewood board and black pickups that looked nice.

Colour, bindings and pick ups remind me of St. Blues basses a bit.
