Hagström HB-8 bridge problem
« on: June 27, 2010, 11:37:04 AM »
Is there an 8-saddle bridge that would fit in to a HB-8 (the new model)? It don't have to be a direct replacement.
This is the original bridge:

I think Schaller might make one.

Try this link:  http://www.allparts.com/SearchResults.asp?search=8-string+bass&x=0&y=0

Solved the tuning problem by getting rid of the bass strings, putting another set of octave strings and tuned it CC/GG/DD/AA. Mandocello! Works very well even if the scale is about 5 inches longer than on a normal mandocello.
