Anyone can allege anything. I'm no more inclined to believe it of Gore than any number of members of the opposing party I can think of. Seems like a waste of animation time and energy to me.

It's regrettable that to become an identifiable public figure means that one may also attract false accusations of various types. There are a lot of people out there who are looking for attention, a check, or both...and have no scruples about who they damage to get either one.

Nor do I. But the sex life of politicians has no implications for me and should be of no concern to anyone as long as criminal laws are not breached.

The Greeks and Romans had orgies all the time, look what they gave to civilisation though. Adolf Hitler's sex life, otoh, was spotless (if a bit boring) though most of us will hopefully agree that this (and his love for nature and animals) did not anoint his politics.

History is full of great people with a sex life not passing the test of the pious. That probably includes a bunch of popes too!!!
