That headstock reminds me of the design used on the Lotus bass line...except it has an extra point under the "ph" in Epiphone.  Radical lookin' bass.

never noticed that Epi or Gibby made very many truss rod adjustables that work from the heel of the neck like a Fender. maybe i have not been very observent.

I've never seen a heel-adjusting Gibson electric. It's just not the way they do things.

Fax: +49 (69) 7199-4000 are both heel-adjustable. But of course you're right, both basses had their origins outside of Gibson, one was the Steinberger, the other a Valley Arts bass. It's unusual both for Gibson and Epiphone.

But I've never seen either of them! If it weren't for you (and Jerome/funkycarnivore on the Sklar) I wouldn't even believe they exist!  :P  ;)

it is possible to lay on MOP lettering:





really thin stuff but same neck. the point being with the proper tools, equipment and knowledge one could prolly make momma's schnauzer say "Epiphone" but one should warn her not to bike ride, slide down any bannisters or pole dance for a week or so.  ;D
