Last night, I dreamed.....

...that I had left my '63 P sitting around in some public facility for a few weeks, and when I remembered where it was, I came back and found that the bass had been stripped - only the body and neck (mounted, with neck plate) were still there.

(Hey, it was a dream, doesn't have to be logical.)

So in that dream, I thought about how I should respond. I decided it was my own darn fault for leaving it there...and it's a nice bass, but there are thousands out there as good as that one. Vintage basses bring big $ but they're no better than good new ones.

I decided to just be calm, sell the body and neck separately on Ebay, take the $$ generated and go out and buy a nice replacement or two.

But - the one thing I wouldn't sell was the neck plate, since it had the original LXXXXX serial number on it. If I sold it, someone could counterfeit a '63. So I decided to keep the neck plate as a momento.

I'm not sure whether that dream means I'm too logical, or just logical enough. At least the dream didn't involve underwear or missing classes.

I have carefully analyzed your dream to determine it's meaning and I have come to the conclusion that the mere fact that you dreamed this means, without a doubt, you were sleeping

This is one of those cases where it was nice to wake up and realize that it WAS only a dream.

Last night I dreamed I was with a girl half my age & we were hugging & I called her "Darling".
Then she announced to everyone in the commune we were in "Terr & I are gonna move our beds together!!"
Of course I was thrilled to the bone but then that thing had to perform it's other function & I said "Excuse me a moment, I have to pee".
Then I woke up at 2am & really had to pee. End of dream. Alas
Sure would have loved to see how it ended if I didn't have to freakin' pee! Dammit

So Pilgrim dreamed about a P & my dream was about having to pee. haha

I've heard of being "egg-bound", but...

I dreamt Concorde crashed, upside-down, into a hotel... freaked me out when it happened for real as the dream was before the event... My mum used to dream about relatives that had passed on before anyone knew they were gone... the darker side of dreamland...

I was once in a band called Nice Nightmare... go figure...

I dream about being in guitar stores now and again - the other night there were these weird basses with a box kind of stuck on the lower horn with a big switch - they were supposed to be the next big thing in the bass world... I wanted to ask to play one, but I knew I wasn't going to buy it so I didn't. I've been in other dream guitar stores with lots of really cool gear, whether crazy vintage effects whose purpose I'm not really sure of, or unusual basses lining the walls...
