Man there are some really stellar basses for sale this week. This one seems very fairly priced. I figured someone here may want to take a shot at it.

I'm surprised John is selling that bass, certainly a beauty!

That bass would look hot with some gold go-go boots, you know...

It would George!

However I'm going to pass on it, while I do want a hollowbody I'm thinking Epi JC - that bass gets glowing reviews from it's owners and would cost 1/5th of this bass (which is priced nicely!).

If you travel thru Denver, feel free to call me and take a test drive on my Casady - I really like that bass!

Nice!! Most of these seem to have at least a couple finish cracks, this one doesn't appear to!

The camera doesn't show any, but I would be very surprised if a 37 year old nitro finish doesn't have at least some surface crazing. Still, it's super clean.

I've got 2 of them, one gold top the other 'tea burst'. Both have held their finish incredibly. Great price and one of the Gibsons that went unoticed. Sweet sound goes from Fender through Guild territory and ends up Gibson. The Casady...c'mon now let's not be put on the spot..but let's say does not sound like these. Yes low impedance with the same 3 way switch and a slightly wider low to high spectrum. The LP Sig is focused and through my MarkBass rig you can hold off attack from both the rear and front flank. I've seen TBirds fall over like bowling pins. ok..I'm ready

I've had two basses, both had some finish cracks, but my guitar, (six string) is in near mint shape, even after all of these years. I bought it from Pete's guitars, (Pete Alenov) for those of you who might remember him. He claimed it was all origional. He died in a car crash several months after I bought it. He was on his way home from a Kid Jonny Lang concert.

Yes, I  do agree
A fine bass is that ole JC

But held against an LP Sig
The difference is rather big

The JC booms, but more of essence
Is the LP's beaut'ful presence

Compared to Gibson's range of mid
The Epi's is a piece of ...  :-*

The LP Sig sounds like a P Bass to die for. The Epi is more Gibson'esque and in Ripper territory, but the similarity in looks belies the difference in characteristic.

For those of us fellows

And champagne appetite

The Gibsons are yummy
But outside our diet

But the Casady's nice
And we smile when we try it!
