Jenny's pick guards did one for me a while back without the pup screw holes Ripper's from late 76 onwards had. Beautiful piece of work it was too.

IIRC you aren't alone. Didn't Bill have an unsatisfactory experience with him?

He's perhaps not the most sophisticated person when it comes to communicating in a timely (or coherent!) fashion per email or sending and receiving things internationally, kind of nerdish and set in his ways, but I haven't seen better relacement pgs from anyone. He's done Ripper and RD pgs for me and was obsessed with getting both exactly right. Which he did.

But I'm not waving his flag, just mentioned him as an option.

I don't question his work. I just won't put money in his pocket.

Yep.  And he's lucky cuz I can't remember what he did now to tick me off.  :-\  I just don't use him for anything.  Haven't for years.

It ended up costing me $550, the seller knocked off a bit for the things he did not disclose. It cleaned up real nice and plays well. The BIN was $600 with one count it one picture  I got lucky :)

I got my replacement pg today without the holes around the pickups and I am happy to say it fits perfect ! For $29.00 bucks I am pretty happy ! He can't be making much on these, three ply b/w/b isn't cheap. I'll go get my camera and snap a pic.

Did you get the replacement from the same guy you bought the first one from?
