I've only seen one in person and I didn't play it because it was in dire need of a setup.

Surprised the bidding is so high.

'73?  That's from back in the catalog days out of Escondido.  I had one of their amps as my first "big" amp.  It was the worst piece of crap I've ever owned.  It broke down 5 times under warranty the first year I had it.  If their basses were anything like the amps, walk away.

Psycho Bass Guy

My old drummer's dad has one of those that he bought new. He said that after about twice as much money in parts and repairs as it cost to buy it, he had himself a good bass. I played it once; heavy as hell with an odd mix of Gibson-meets-Fender tone, but it had Dimarzio's in it.

Wow, went for $1081. Somebody has a case of nostalgia.

I thought if it was $300-400 I might have a go, with my current attraction to short scales. But $1,081... I had no idea they were in such high demand.

wow, thats like the only Carvin I have EVER seen that I actually liked to look at, pretty neat Gibson/Rick/fender mashup
those bass p=90s and the covers are cool.

I like it a lot but not for 1000 dollars.
