OK, I want to tune this thing an octave below a guitar, not the typical D or B tuning that a lot of folks who play these things prefer.  Any thoughts on strings for this purpose? There's precious little info on the web about baritones!

BTW, it sounds and looks great.  I've never been a fan of Ovation styling and engineering, but this guitar really sounds goods and plays easy.  I think I'll keep it around for awhile.....

What scale is it? You could always experiment with a heavy electric geetard set, or a Bass VI set.

It's 28" scale, so I thinking just what you suggested.

I agree.  The inlays are cool too, they are actually maple.
