You've gotta give Herr Sixx some credit ...

He's obviously inspirational. And fashion-setting, yet ahead of the times. While his new Gibson Signature TBird in black cherry does not sport the "Maltese"/Iron Crosses of yore, other people are not quite as current:

A neck thru Iceman ... I think I need one!!! There must certainly be an alternative to Herr Sharlee D'Angelo's preferred tuning (drop-C tuning: C-F-A#-D#  ::) ) too. You can probably even call him Charly or some other name for grown-ups and he'll respond.

Nice, me like. =)

Always enjoyed the Iceman basses. Not particularly found of the inlays, but other than that... Very nice!

Sharlee D'Angelo? Never heard of him, but with drop-C tuning he must be a sludge metal guy.

The short-lived 70's Ibanez Korina guitar always looked very nice to me.  It was the classic combo of Gibson V/Explorer/Moderne vibe with the nice wood, and built very well to boot.  I always wished they had built a bass version.  This thing is a little too doofus-rock for me.  I like the solo bridge saddles though.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Charles Petter Andreason is the bassplayer in Arch Enemy, fellow countrymen to me along with Uwes fellow contrywoman Angela Gossow. Arch Enemy is I think the only Metal act containing Cookie Monster/Orch vocals that I actually enjoy listening to.

Charles uses/used a Rickenbacker a lot previously:

if metal bands can ever get over that cartoonish evilness, cliche' rock moves, pentagrams and synchronised hair twirling it may be watchable. i listen to alot of these bands but feel almost embaressed to watch them. ::)

So he's Swedish and used to play with Merciful Fate and King Diamond, who'd have thought? I now remember an interview where he said that he always had a penchant for Iceman and Destroyer basses.

Given his origins, shouldn't the inlays have looked something like this:

Ruhnen! Long time ago I saw them used! Especially the double S. Like 70 years ago?

Factory tuned to Sharlee D'Angelo's preference of drop-C tuning (C-F-A#-D#)

That strikes me as odd. I tune drop-C and it's C-F-C-G. Does A#-D# make any sense?

Nice bass though, I've always GAS'd for an Iceman

Sharlee's preference is a dropped E-A-D-G tuning (same interval). Makes sense to  me.
