Ahh............

The magic of Facebook, a longtime friend and former bandmate from my highscool years sent me some fun pics today.....All I can say is; It was the '70s
Seattle's Paramont Theater in Sept 1976, yeah I saw Nazareth that night, I still remember Pete Agnew a Gibson EB and his 3 full Marshall stacks. Good times!

And for us aircraft folks an Avro Vulcan buzzing the field at the 1975 Abbotsford, B.C. airshow.

How this lead to me today, I'll never know?!  But here I am with my bandmates and a new Rickenbacker 4001 in '77 or '78............ Gotta love that mustache

Happy I'm so well adjusted today  ;)

Facebook has been fun for me for the same reason. I've run into people I haven't seen in 25 years or more, and while I didn't really need to re-connect with the majority of them, there are a few it's been a pleasure to catch up with. I just hit ignore on all the games and spam type applications and go from there.

Those pictures are great! No inkling of the Fraulien in that Ricky shot (though the hat is rather stylish)! :) And once again let me say that the LullBird looks fantastic...

Cool pictures Mark!  I had a buddy send me some old photo's as well.  Got to love the 70's!

Here was me with my G-3 in 1978

And some 30 years later or so..........

This was the guy I bought my first bass from in 1977.  Mark Vizcarra is his name and he was a big influence on the way I approached the bass guitar.  He played a '76 P bass through a Fender Bassman 10 amp.

I'm stunned Fräulein Rommel ... You mean you were once a guy and a regular one at that?  ???

I already posted my pics from '77 or so.  I've gone backwards!  Yeah, Facebook has been interesting.  I've found a few people I haven't heard from in years.  Right now, my old keyboard player from '77 is converting the master of a TV show we did into DVD.

All those pics are great!
Hörnisse, I love that NR!

I've been hit up on Facebook by lots of high school friends but notably, the only ones who sent friends requests are the ones I liked and spoke to anyway. Thankfully!

I've hooked up with a few people from high school that I was really glad to hear from, but overall, this Facebbok thing has been a bit overwhelming.
I can't tell you how many people have sent me friend requests, 80, maybe 100 or so :o
Some of these people I never even knew in high school. The guy you borrowed a sheet of paper from in math class in 10th grade wants to hook up 40 years later ???. Some of these people I swear I've never even heard of. It's a nice thing but it freaks me out a little. I'm sure there a a lot of people that must think I'm a real SOB for not replying but I'm just not comfortable with putting that much stuff out there.

... and sells fetish wear for wimmin as well as TBird accessories?  :o :o :o :o Some customer base they must have.  ;D

At closer inspection, a lot of that "innocent" modeling stuff is not innocent at all:

Mark, Great pictures ! The Vulcan is my favorite. Mustache? Must have been your Freddy stage or maybe Dukes of Hazered ? Here is me in early '77 wishing I looked more like Ian Hunter but my folks kept on making me get my hair cut.

With my EB2 copy... and hair... poor pic, but the only shot I have of this bass...

... and always nice to see a Vulcan...
