Yep, jealous! 8)

Opps, not my intent!  I just got an offer from a buddy with a CNC machine who offered to turnone out for nothing for me.  Couldn't resist that offer!

I'm jealous to.

And what's so ugly about jetstar basses? I've two of them both DeArmond and reissues one shortscale and one medium. Don't like the mediem scale that's a rather cheap one. The shortie is a great bass. Would like to own one true vintage one.

It's going to be awesome, Doc!
I'm a fan of both Jetstar and the BillyBo designs but never felt like I wanted to build one myself, don't know why. But maybe I change my mind once I see yours!

So you've got accurate tracing for both or you're going with your own aproximation drawings?

The BillyBo is a computer rendering of an actual Gretsch body, so it's pretty accurate.  The Jet Star I was gonna guess, but now I have someone to beg a tracing off of!!!!

I love the black one with the white pickups!!!!  I should have bought one a couple years back when they were blowing them out the doors at the stores.  I just didn't realize I would want one later!!!

Could I beg a tracing of the Jet Star from you??  I'd be happy to send you a tracing in return.  I have T-Birds, reverse and non-reverse and a bunch of hollow body stuff!

wall of wierdness that's just a small portion of my wierdness then. Ik shall make an tracing of it. I belive I must have an .EPS vector drawing op it somewhere. I shall look for it.

drbassman

Thanks, any form of drawing would be great!

I always liked those Jetstars.  They made them with a 4-inline headstock also, which looks pretty slick:

This is the headstock I'm gonna use on mine when I get around to it!
I love this ugly old thing!!!!

I like the 4 in line head better also.

Nocturnal

That huge headstock combined with that body style seems like a recipe for neck dive. Looks cool tho. ;D
