My only gripe with my double HB Bongo is that it feels too light. Bit like a toy.

Not sure why you'd say that - basswood is heavy.  This Bongo is just under 10lbs, so it's around the same as my Stingrays, and a couple of lbs heavier than Thunderbirds.

With that shirt Mark, I have to ask, after all your gear was loaded did you ride your Vespa home?

Vespas ain't real popular downunder.  They would disappear in the potholes.

Love the Bongo, if I were a rich man

You can buy used Bongos on TB, eBay and the EBMM forum every day of the week for under US$1000. With the AUD at 0.92 now, it's a great time to buy one :-)

What's a "Double HB Bongo"...? (SLS - sheltered life syndrome)

Bongo with 2 humbuckers. I think that's the original configuration and still the most common. You can also get it with bridge HB and a single coil at the neck or bridge HB only.

SKATE RAT

forget the bongo, post more pictures of your singer. she's the 4th thing from down under that rules. the other 3 being AC/DC, Mad Max and VB's

VB rules?  Not here it doesn't , but I suppose VB could taste good to people brought up on Coors and Bud :-)

Awww Sh!t! Mark dont tell me that!   My BAS (Bass Accumulation Syndrome) was in remission.

SKATE RAT: No offense mate but VB?!!  Are you serious?    Try some Coopers and get back to me.  8)

Quite right about Radio Birdman though.
Digresion our specialty!

What's VB? I have some Foster's in the fridge. But I think ours is brewed in Georgia or Texas.

Dave W

Victoria Bitter. A Foster's brand. What's available here is probably brewed in the US or Canada under license.

Aussie Mark

VB has one thing going for it - it's better than Fosters.  Oh, two things - it's dirt cheap if you buy the 30 can boxes.

ok, maybe i just connect VB to partying with a bunch of Aussie skaters.those dudes were a blast. it was a few years ago,i remember it tasting pretty good. maybe i was drunk! i've never bought Coors 'cause of alleged ties to the kkk. and bud sucks. i've always liked Becks, both lager and dark. Brooklyn beer is pretty good too. though i guess it depends on the situation. if i'm at a "hip" kinda bar with bands and stuff,i'll drink some kinda lager, but sometimes old man bars are cool, then i'll get a Guiness or a Bass, if your at the beach a Corona is nice. etc etc. here in NYC the "free for the band" beer is Pabst which is horrible. but i'm not gonna turn down free beer.
