I was in a band 20 years ago where both guitarists had black guitars and they were after me for ages to get one just like that. If I hadn't been so broke I would have. That's a great looking bass!

Black is very tasteful!  I like that '75.

Here ya go - last week's gig with three black Gretsches.  Just right for our surf band!

I love black P basses.  Here is one from November 1979.  I was going to St. Andrews College in Laurinburg, NC and we had a band called Abdominal Trauma.  I had bought the '77 P bass that summer for $300 and it was like brand new.  I was using a Kustom III head and matching 215 cabinet.  I also had one of those cool Schaller clear coil cords.  Wish I could find another one!  (note: Mr. Bill Tee Shirt)

Our drummer has the only set of green Ludwig drums I've ever seen - carefully chosen - so he's not up for Gretsch drums.  On the next gig I'll break the black Gretsch theme and play the gold top Casady, which will still look great with those black Gretsches.

Here's a black Turser '54 P clone with added chrome stripe:

Bart!

Nice basses, both the `75 and the Turser!
And carefully chosen or not, +1 on the Gretsch drums.

Very cool pics!

I have two '75 P's, I favor the rosewood board P now. This is the maple board '75 back when she was #1...

Well, Heineken is made here around the corner, so I have no problems with it.
