How I spent my summer

It's been a really good summer for my band The Nasty Habits, we got out and played a lot around Seattle and managed a couple of trips out to our adopted hometown of Pt. Angeles as well. It was an abnormally hot season for Seattle and we found ourselves onstage at several shows that really pushed us for endurance due to the heat (Drag in 80+ degrees = no fun!) and humidity. Before taking a 6 week break we played one last show on 8/20 that featured some burlesque girls and us, we had the good fortune of a pro photog showing for some nice pics......plus a couple from earlier in the summer.
I'll be using our break time to repair some of my gear and finish up some projects including my BaCHbird and a complete chrome retrofit of my Nikki Sixx Mk.II  ;)

And playing my Orville out in Pt. Angeles, pink and surf green seem to work ok!

My Gawd, Mark... caught up beyond the 12th twice... any more of that and you'll have to drop "Veronica" and start calling yourself "Stanlina"...  ;D

All respects to the pro you've been hangin' with, that is a superb shot with you featured well...

Enjoy the rest of the (hopefully) good weather, and hopefully some air-con gigs...  ;)

Dang, I wish I was in Port Angeles...I like that place. For our honeymoon my wife and I drove there, parked the car and walked onto the ferry to victoria.  Spent a few days in Victoria and just rode buses and public transportation.  It was a lot of fun.

It's right across the channel from me, and as far as I know it's still kinda the sticks too.

Ah, but in Austin it's dry heat ;D  Here in Houston last week it was 92 but when the the humidity was factored in the heat index was 108 :o  I'm still trying figure out just who in Sam Hell thought this was good palce to build a city ???

Mark, trust me, you would love Austin - we might have to bail you out in the morning but you would have a hell of time there.

Well if it's 104 already then at least the body cavity probe won't be cold  ;)

I grew up in Houston so I know all about the extreme humidity. But Austin is not dry heat. And the heat this year has been awful even for south central Texas. Today was the 69th day over 100 at the official station at the New Braunfels airport. Across the line here in Guadalupe County it was day 72 over 100. That's over twice the old record, and it's still August! So don't gripe about your wussy 92 degree days.   :P
