A true case of Gibson following Epiphone in instrument design. Plywood SG/EB's seem to be becoming the norm  ???

Plywood is stillplywood even when you make it out of Birch and stain it different colours.

Not necessarily negative, my link up top was just an alert that there was already a thread down here.

But now that you mention it, if I built a guitar out of laminated used popsicle sticks stained with their artifical coloring, how much could i sell it for?  ;D

Eh... I think it's actually done well for what it is, but definitely NOT my cup of tea. I like the clear knobs.  :-\

I think it's wonderful!  I've been seeing the colored laminates on custom knives for years - why not on a guitar or bass?

I'm hoping bass versions scome out soon.
