and his boys, shamelessly so, on their new outing:

I like the way his ears have become even more pointed with age.

I suspect he probably prefers pitching than catching.  He likes jock types (I had a business contact in Nottingham in the '80s who clued me in to this).  He's also the best interview I ever did.  He NEVER hesitates when he answers a question, and never does the "ah", "um" stutter mid-sentence.

That said, I likes me some Judas Priest.  They were great both times I saw them live.

Oh, this thread is about baseball then. We're finally on terra firma again ... Wait a minute "pitching rather than catching"?  ??? You mean he prefers to be unleashed in the yeast?

Turning away from our usual locker room humor: I've seen Priest twice since the reunion with Halford and maybe half a dozen times before he left (never went to see them with Ripper Owens; even the thought of Priest without Herr Halford was too painful, much less see them without him, though Owens did a credible job, just lacked any kind of charisma). The truth is: Halford can still sing and scream, but he's battling with those high sqeals these days, like many a matured rock singer he spends most of the concert eyes shut forcing his vocal cords to now do with discipline, what they once did with ease. But he can still command a stage. I'm disappointed though that they did not have the guts to make good on their promise to tour the Nostradamus extravaganza in full - which is the only way they could do that concept album live full justice, playing it front to back. Instead they are now touring British Steel in complete ...

Indeed:

Sending the girl rather than the (rather splendidly short-trousered, don't you all think?) boy/hunk moderator to interview Rob was unsympathetic though.

And I'm telling you, his ears weren't as pointed back then either!!!

I still can't believe they had a US advert that went "Judas Priest Are Bent - Hell Bent For Leather"...

Probably got lost in the translation...  ;D
