Definitely a "bootstrap" kind of guy who found something he was good at, and made it into a good living.

He yelled at people for a living...

I think I saw him a couple of times for a few seconds. There are advantages to not watching much TV.

It wouldn't be surprising at all if this has something to do with hitting his head during that hard landing.
Head injuries should always be checked out even if nothing seems to be wrong at first. Remember what happened to Natasha Richardson. Or Mark Donohue.

There's a story out saying that on Saturday he flew in to Tampa, where he lived, and the plane blew out a tire when it landed. The shock threw a suitcase out of the overhead bin and onto his head. He seemed fine and walked off the plane, but was found dead the next day. Possibly a congenital vascular problem, like those high school football players who died suddenly after one too many mild concussions. No idea if it's true, but it wouldn't be the weirdest thing I've heard this week. It's a bad time to be even vaguely prominent.

I read in another report that the FAA tried to sort of blame it on Billy by saying he wasn't wearing his seatbelt during landing. Like that would have prevented luggage from flying out of the overheads and beaning him on the noggin. Classy...

He could have popped a vessel in the brain, or had a delayed reaction and have had swelling on the brain by way of a concussion. As obnoxious as he could be, he helped people with their ideas bring them to the marketplace, and helped them realize the American Dream through the success of that idea. He made money, they made money, we got a product that performed a service. And the great thing about him, after watching his show "Pitchmen", he knew how to pick the products that would not only sell, but would actually work for the consumer in the real world. He had credibility, not something you see very often in a salesman.

As loud as he was, he will be missed for keeping alive the American Dream; that you can come up with a better idea, and be successful with it...

I have been watching Pitchmen every now and then over the past month or so and it did show how helpful he was when it came to the ideas that people had.

Mentioning to my mom that he was hit in the head with luggage led to me finding out that I was hit in the head with luggage when I was 2. An idiot across the aisle didn't want to check all his bags so he overstuffed the overhead compartments around him including the one above us so when my dad opened the one above us, I guess the idiot's bag fell. What really pissed my parents off was the lack of concern from everyone and I guess I did have a concussion as I got a fever right after. Makes me wonder if I am really normal up in my noggin.
There are many in this world that call me Darrol, feel free to be apart of that group.

He could have had a slow intracranial bleed which can kill by increasing the pressure inside your head, this would show on autopsy. A blow to the head can cause this.

Wasn't he recently hawking health insurance on TV? Yeah, that's just where I want to get my coverage - from the guy sandwiched between ShamWow and the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast collection at 3am... :o

Don't mention this to your wife or significant other or you will hear, "REALLY?  That explains SO much!!"  for the rest of your life....
